The United States Women’s basketball team have released their roster for next week’s FIBA World Cup Qualifier to take place in Puerto Rico.
Indiana Fever’s Aliyah Boston and Rae Burrell of the Los Angeles Sparks are notable additions from this roster, due to injuries.
Boston missed out of the Unrivaled play-offs due to a right lower extremity injury, while Citron missed the end of the regular season due to the same injury.

Replacing them would be Monique Billings and Rae Burrell. This would be a competitive debut for Burrell, while for Billings, it would be a renewed experience, as she was part of the 2017 Under-23 national team at the Four-Nations Tournament.
These two would join an already stacked-up roster with young stars such as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Page Beuckers.
They would not be without experience, as 2024 Olympic gold medalists Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young, alongside Paris 2024 Bronze medalists Dearica Hamby and Rhyne Howard. Rookie Kiki Iriafen completes the roster.
Led by U.S. Olympic coach Kara Lawson, the team will face Senegal, Puerto Rico, Italy, New Zealand and Spain in the tournament. She will be assisted by Natalie Nakase, Nate Tibbets and Stephanie White. The trio were court coaches at that U.S. training camp in December.
Note that the Americans have already qualified for the World Cup in Berlin from Sept. 4-13.
