The Jacksonville Jaguars and tight end Brenton Strange have agreed to terms on a three-year, up to $48 million extension, Yankee Scores reports.
The deal includes $25 million guaranteed, agents Jim Ivler, JR Roggio and Jon Perzley told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero, per ESPN.
The 25-year-old set career highs for receptions (46), receiving yards (540) and touchdown catches (3) in just 12 games last season.

The 2023 second-round draft pick was slated to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
Strange turned heads at the start of Coen’s first campaign as head coach in 2025. The 6-foot-4, 253-pound tight end caught 19 passes for 182 yards over the first four games as the Jaguars started 3-1. He caught six passes in each of the last two of those outings.
Strange hurt his hip in a Week 5 “Monday Night Football” win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He led the Jaguars with 20 catches at the time on the season. Jacksonville put him on injured reserve the next day.
The Jaguars moved him off IR late in November, before their Week 12 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Strange missed five games in a row, but he picked up where he left off earlier in the fall, catching five passes for 93 yards in an overtime win over the Cardinals.
