Seattle Mariners Star Catcher, Cal Raleigh has never backed down from a bad performance and he voiced out after Mariners unfortunate loss to the New York Yankees.
“It’s not good,” the catcher said after Seattle’s fifth straight loss, a 4-1 setback to the New York Yankees in the Bronx

“We are not playing well. That begins with me. I’m awful. We’ve got to pick it up, from the energy standpoint, to the execution, to the little things in the game that help you win baseball games”, Raleigh told reporters after the game, according to ESPN
This season, Raleigh is batting .159 with 12 home runs and 43 RBIs over 86 games. A year ago at this moment he was hitting .271 with 35 homers and 74 RBIs, and finishing as the runner-up to Aaron Judge for AL MVP.
Tuesday’s defeat was a mirror of Seattle’s season, Ryan Weathers allowed only one hit over six innings, and Ryan McMahon and Trent Grisham drove in two runs apiece for the Yankees. Raleigh was 0 for 4.
“It’s tough when things aren’t going your way, it’s hard. You feel like everybody’s against you, things aren’t going your way, but you’ve got to have a good attitude. You’ve got to bring that edge to play every single day, because nothing’s given to you,” Raleigh said.
Mariners will take on the New York Yankees again and will look to put up a much better performance this time around
