Los Angeles is going for a third consecutive championship and their trade deadline moves have put them in a comfortable position to win it all again
Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto already look tough to beat and then you add Tarik Skubal to the rotation and it just gets better.
They are only a game behind Milwaukee with an 80-51 record in the standings but in terms of winning four rounds of playoff baseball, they are the clear favorite.
The American League is up for grabs
The New York Yankees are second in the AL East to Tampa Bay and the Rays quietly have put together a 77-53 record, the best in the American League.
