The Cleveland Browns will acquire offensive lineman Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans once the new NFL league year begins on March 11.
Howard, 29, brings versatility and experience. He started games at three different positions last season and has made 93 career starts in seven years.
“I wasn’t surprised,” Howard told KPRC2. “They’re trying to get younger and pay some guys. I ain’t mad. I kind of knew it was going to happen.”
Connection to Cleveland
Howard is close friends with Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, another former Texan. Drafted 23rd overall in 2019 out of Alabama State, Howard now reunites with Watson in Cleveland.
ESPN reported the Browns will send a fifth‑round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Howard is expected to sign a three‑year extension worth up to $63 million.
