Neymar may pull off a big move with an MLS offer on the table for the Brazilian forward, Yankee Scores reports.
FC Cincinnati have initiated talks with the agent of Neymar regarding a potential MLS move, Yankee Scores confirms.
The negotiations are at a very early stage right now. Cincinnati are looking into Neymar’s interest and requirements, as well as evaluating their own position on pursuing a deal.
It is not too late to figure things out. Neymar is contracted with Santos until the end of 2026. Chicago Fire had made serious progress on a deal with Neymar after he parted ways with Al Hilal in 2025. He eventually signed for Santos for a short-term stint and subsequently extended for another season.
The “Ancelotti” Factor: Proving Fitness for 2026
The veteran forward of Santos saved the club from being relegated at the end of 2025. He netted 11 goals and provided four assists in just over 2,000 minutes played last season. This year, he already scored three and assisted twice in his opening four league matches as he aims to prove his fitness to Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Neymar did not make the squad for Brazil’s friendlies against Morocco and Tunisia in March.
MLS sides are interested in getting another world-renowned player in their roster after the success of Lionel Messi, as they are preparing for a new media rights deal set for 2028-2029 season onwards. The current agreement with Apple expires at the end of the aforementioned terms.
