The Toronto Raptors delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season, and Scottie Barnes was at the center of it all… Yankee Scores reports.

Barnes Sparks Historic Run

Scottie Barnes finished with 23 points and a career-high 15 assists, orchestrating a 139-87 rout of the Orlando Magic on Sunday night. It’s Orlando’s largest loss in franchise history and Toronto‘s second-largest win (53 points vs. GSW on April 2, 2021). Barnes has now recorded double-digit assists in four straight games, showing his growth as a playmaker. RJ Barrett added 24 points, while Sandro Mamukelashvili chipped in 19 as Toronto stayed fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Magic Collapse Early

Orlando led 18-11 after a Jalen Suggs three midway through the first quarter, but the Raptors responded with a stunning 27-2 run to close the period. The Magic went scoreless for nearly six minutes, committing 12 turnovers in the opening frame that led to 14 Toronto points. By the time Paolo Banchero ended the drought in the second quarter, the Raptors had strung together 31 consecutive points.

Raptors Dominate Both Ends

Toronto’s defense forced 28 turnovers, converting them into 37 points. AJ Lawson’s three-pointer gave the Raptors their largest lead at 126-70 with 9:31 left. Jamal Shead added 12 points and 10 assists, while Desmond Bane led Orlando with 17. Banchero, who had scored 30-plus in three straight games, struggled to just nine points on 3-of-14 shooting.

What’s Next

The Raptors, now 42-32, continue to push for playoff positioning and face Detroit on Tuesday. Orlando, losers of seven of their last eight, will try to regroup at home against Phoenix.
