Chelsea have shown keen interest in signing free agent John Stones, following his exit from Manchester City, Yankee Scores reports.
The west London-based team has joined Italian giants Inter Milan in showing interest in the signing of the 32-year-old player, who recently left Manchester City as he had become a free agent due to the expiration of his deal with City.
Chelsea are also in the process of signing another England defender Maxence Lacroix, who plays for Crystal Palace. The Blues are also scouting other options in the market which includes Jacobo Ramon of Como.
They are also willing to offload some central defenders so that they can bring new signings into their squad, per BBC Sport.
Another England international, Trevoh Chalobah is close to joining Como, while players such as Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile are up for sale.
Stones made 295 appearances for Manchester City, who signed him from Everton for £47.5m back in 2016.
Stones won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups, five League Cups, three Community Shields, the Club World Cup and the Uefa Super Cup with Manchester City.
The former Barnsley defender has 93 caps for his country and was a part of the third-place finishers at the World Cup.
