Steve Kerr finally reached win No. 600, a landmark moment that places him among the fastest coaches in NBA history to achieve the feat, Yankee Scores reports.

The Golden State Warriors snapped a five-game losing streak with a 125-117 win over Washington, giving Kerr his 600th career victory. He achieved the milestone in his 943rd regular-season game, trailing only Phil Jackson (805), Pat Riley (832), and Gregg Popovich (887).

Reflecting on the achievement, Kerr admitted: “It’s surreal to hear my name in that group, but I can tell you that one thing that bonds us all together — those names and mine — is talent. You can’t win in this league without great players, and I was blessed from the day I took this job with incredible talent.”

Warriors Battle Through Injuries

Golden State’s recent struggles have been compounded by injuries to Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, leaving the team fighting for play-in positioning. However, Draymond Green and Kristaps Porzingis returned to the lineup after resting against New York. Porzingis led the way with 30 points, continuing what Kerr jokingly called the “Kristaps Porzingis reunion tour” as the Warriors face several of his former teams on this road trip.

Kerr admitted the performance wasn’t perfect: “Not a great basketball game. But we needed the win and were good enough to get the win.”

Wizards’ Struggles Continue

The defeat marked Washington’s 12th consecutive loss, despite flashes of competitiveness. Golden State’s sharper execution in the closing stages proved decisive, ending their own skid and giving Kerr the chance to celebrate a milestone that had been delayed by recent setbacks.

What Next for Golden State

The Warriors now turn their attention to a high-profile clash with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. With Curry still sidelined, Kerr will hope Porzingis and Green can maintain their form as Golden State looks to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
