The Las Vegas Raiders are trading star defensive end Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round draft picks, according to multiple media reports on Friday. The haul includes Baltimore’s No. 14 pick in April’s NFL Draft and the Ravens’ 2027 first-round selection. The deal cannot be finalized until the 2026 league year begins on March 11.

Crosby, 28, has been a cornerstone of the Raiders’ defense since entering the league. A five-time Pro Bowler and two-time second-team All-Pro, he has amassed 69.5 career sacks and 133 tackles for loss. He recorded at least seven sacks in each of his seven seasons. Despite his production, Crosby’s frustration boiled over last season when he was placed on injured reserve with two games left due to a knee injury.

Raiders’ Draft Position Strengthened

With the trade, Las Vegas now owns two top-14 picks in April’s draft, including the coveted No. 1 overall selection. The move comes just one year after Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension, underscoring the magnitude of the decision.

In Baltimore, Crosby joins new head coach Jesse Minter, formerly the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers. The Ravens’ defense struggled last season, ranking 24th in total defense (354.5 yards allowed per game) and tied for 30th in sacks with just 30. No player recorded more than five sacks, making Crosby’s arrival a major upgrade.

Crosby’s Reaction and Future

While Crosby has yet to publicly comment on the trade, his emotional journey in Las Vegas included playoff disappointment and playing under five different head coaches. His move to Baltimore signals a fresh start with a franchise eager to rebuild its defensive identity.

This blockbuster deal reshapes both teams: the Raiders gain draft capital to accelerate their rebuild, while the Ravens secure one of the league’s premier pass rushers to anchor their defense.
