Manchester United reports record earnings in 2026 even without appearing in European competition during the previous season.
The Red Devils also revealed updates on their plans for building a new 100,000-seater to replace Old Trafford.
The Manchester outfit reported earnings of £677.6 million in the financial year, up from its previous record of £666.5 million in 2025, along with operating earnings of £22.6 million, up from a loss of £18.4 million the previous year.
But Manchester United also reports a loss of £43 million in the financial year, up from £33 million in 2025, per TNTSports.
Manchester United’s record earnings include a period of financial year which started off with the club missing out on European football, following their 15th placed finish in the Premier League and defeat in the final of the UEFA Europa League to Tottenham Hotspur.
This particular campaign saw the club experience a renaissance as Michael Carrick won 11 out of 16 matches to steer the club into finishing third in the Premier League and qualify for UEFA Champions League next season.
CEO of United, Omar Berrada stated that the club’s financial performance showed “the underlying strength of our business.”
He further made assurances of maintaining a financial strategy that would keep the club sustainable.
