The New York Knicks kept their winning streak alive, but it wasn’t easy against a determined Pelicans squad… Yankee Scores reports.
Brunson Leads Knicks Past Pelicans
Jalen Brunson delivered another clutch performance, scoring 32 points — including 15 in the fourth quarter — as the Knicks edged the New Orleans Pelicans 121‑116 on Tuesday night. His scoring burst sealed New York’s seventh straight victory and pushed them to 48‑25, just percentage points behind the Boston Celtics (47‑24) for second place in the Eastern Conference.

Karl‑Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby each added 21 points, with Towns also pulling down 14 rebounds. Yet it was Brunson who made the decisive plays, scoring 10 straight points midway through the fourth. After the Pelicans cut the deficit to 109‑107 with 4:30 left, Brunson answered with back‑to‑back baskets to restore control.

Pelicans Fight Back But Fall Short
Zion Williamson paced New Orleans with 22 points, while Jeremiah Fears added 21. Despite their efforts, the Pelicans dropped their second straight after a three‑game winning streak.

The game swung wildly in the first half. New York shot 71.4% in the opening quarter, hitting seven threes and closing with a 15‑0 run to lead 42‑28. But the Pelicans stormed back with an 18‑2 run to open the second, briefly taking a 48‑46 lead. The Knicks regrouped to carry a 66‑60 advantage into halftime.
Knicks’ Streak Faces Tough Test
The Knicks’ seven‑game run has come against struggling opponents, including Indiana, Utah, Brooklyn, and Washington. That favorable stretch ends Thursday when they begin a four‑game road trip at Charlotte, followed by visits to defending champion Oklahoma City and Houston.
