With Crystal Palace’s Conference League triumph, the Premier League will have nine sides in Europe in the 2026/27 season, Yankee Scores reports.
Crystal Palace defeated Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in the UEFA Conference League final in Leipzig to give Oliver Glasner the perfect farewell.
Glasner has overseen the most successful spell in Palace’s history, leaving the Eagles with their first European trophy after winning the FA Cup and Community Shield all within the last 12 months.

UEFA Champions League Representatives
Thanks to the UEFA coefficient ranking, the Premier league earns an extra fifth place in the UEFA Champions League. Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool will play in the UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal are headed to their fourth straight Champions League campaign after winning the Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s side would face defending champion PSG in the 2026 UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
For the first time in 10 years, Manchester City will head into their 16th straight UEFA campaign, while Manchester United are headed back to the Champions League for the first time since the 2023/24 season.
Aston Villa secured their Champions League spot winning the Europa League title, but could have also secured spot as they finished fourth on the Premier League table.
Liverpool booked their spots on the final day of the season after a 1-1 draw with Brentford.
All five Premier League sides will go straight into the league phase, with the draw scheduled for August 27.
Europa League Places
Sunderland secured qualification to the Europa League defeating Chelsea 2-1 on a dramatic final day. They got promoted to the Premier League via the Championship play-off final in the 2024/25 season. This is the second time in their history that they’ll secure an European competition spot.
Bournemouth finished the season with a 17-game unbeaten run to end the season sixth and secure a place in the Europa League.
Now, Crystal Palace have secured qualification to the competition after beating Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in the 2026 Conference League final.
All three sides will enter the Europa League at the 36-team league phase, the draw for which takes place on August 28.
Conference League
Brighton edged Brentford on goal difference to finish eighth in the table and qualify for the Conference League.
Brighton will now play a two-legged play-off round to cement their spot in the Conference League phase. They’ll discover their opponents when the draw is made on August 3.
