New York Giants training camp is underway and it’s hard to overlook Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham trying to resuscitate his career, and he’s used LeBron James as an example of how to stay at a high level.
Giants training camp is in White Sulphur Springs and Beckham had his second straight solid practice as he tries to find himself again with the franchise that drafted him 12 years ago after being out of the NFL for nearly two years.
Odell Beckham Jr. likened himself to LeBron James, via @JordanRaanan:

Beckham who is now 33 answered the critics saying he’s just trying to be present every day and prove to himself that he knows who he is.
According to ESPN, he also added “And I’m like, ‘LeBron James used to take off before the free throw line, and now if he’s taking off with his foot right in front of it. He’s still got a different game, but he’s still playing at a high level.’ I believe that I can play at a high level.”
At the moment, there’s no certainty he’ll make the roster.
The Giants’ wide receiver room is full with Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin III and rookie third-round pick Malachi Fields
Still, Giants reporters have said Beckham is on the roster bubble, which means he’s being taken seriously for a position on the 53-man roster.
