Jackson’s Dream Moment

Jackson drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Duke past LSU 87-85 in the Sweet 16. “Never had a game-winner… The way it went in, I felt like I was in a dream,” said Jackson. Her shot rolled around the rim before dropping, sparking a wild celebration in front of Duke’s bench.

She finished with 19 points, while teammates Taina Mair and Toby Fournier each scored 22. Duke (27-8) now advances to face top-seeded UCLA in the Elite Eight.

LSU’s Rally Falls Short

The Tigers erased an 11-point deficit and briefly led after Mikaylah Williams hit two free throws with 9.2 seconds left. But Duke regained possession with 2.6 seconds remaining, setting up Jackson’s heroics.

MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 28 points for LSU, while Williams added 22. Flau’Jae Johnson contributed 13 in her final college game. Coach Kim Mulkey called the ending “heartbreaking,” adding, “Been around a long time and seen endings like that. Takes a while to get over it.”

Duke’s Season Turnaround

The Blue Devils avenged an early-season loss to LSU. Since starting 3-6, they have won 24 of 26 games, capturing both the ACC regular season and tournament titles. Their hot streak continues into a rematch with UCLA, who beat them in November.

LSU, meanwhile, exits after a prolific offensive season, scoring over 100 points in an NCAA-record 16 games. Yet, they couldn’t stop Duke’s balanced attack when it mattered most.
