Maxx Crosby is back with the Raiders after a proposed move to the Baltimore Ravens fell through, Yankee Scores reports

The Pro Bowl pass rusher has resumed his training and rehab program in Las Vegas and is focused on preparing for the season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Crosby ready to move forward

Rapoport reported that Crosby is “ready to play football for the Raiders” and intends to put the brief trade drama behind him. At 28, the defensive end remains a cornerstone of the Raiders’ defense, and his return provides stability for a team eager to build momentum under new leadership.

Impact on the Raiders

Crosby’s presence is vital for Las Vegas. He consistently ranks among the league’s top edge rushers, combining relentless energy with leadership in the locker room. Moreover, his commitment ensures continuity for a defense that has struggled with consistency in recent years.

Maxx Crosby appeared in 15 games during the 2025 NFL season before the Las Vegas Raiders shut him down for the final two contests due to injury. The veteran pass rusher was aware of the issue and understood surgery would be necessary in the offseason, yet he continued to play until the team intervened.
Despite the setback, Crosby delivered another productive campaign. He finished with 73 combined tackles, 10 sacks, 20 quarterback hits, six passes defended, and two tackles for loss. Following the season, he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, a procedure aimed at ensuring he returns to full strength for 2026.

Ravens left disappointed

Meanwhile, the Ravens had hoped to add Crosby to bolster their pass rush. However, the deal’s collapse leaves Baltimore searching for alternatives. Although their defense remains strong, missing out on Crosby highlights the challenges of securing elite talent during the offseason.

Amid the buzz surrounding Crosby’s injury, his agent CJ LaBoy clarified on social media that his client is doing great in recovery. In fact, he also mentioned Crosby’s surgeon Neal ElAttrache, who said that the NFL star is “ahead of schedule.”

Looking ahead

For Crosby, the focus now shifts to recovery and preparation. His rehab program in Las Vegas is expected to get him back to full strength, and his return could be a turning point for the Raiders’ defensive unit. With his future clarified, both player and team can move forward with confidence.
