Houston wide receiver, Tank Dell returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a devastating knee injury in December 2024.
Dell received a few throws from quarterback C.J. Stroud during individual drills and ran a number of full-speed routes, but that was it for his morning work as the Texans continue to bring him along cautiously.

DeMeco Ryans, head coach, made clear there’s no urgency. According to ESPN, Coach Ryans said “Nothing’s changed in his plan. We’re progressing him on really well. We expect him to just continue to progress with how he’s feeling”
“There’s no set way of doing it. It’ll be based on how he’s feeling. We’ll do the right thing by Tank and make sure we approach it the right way.
Dell tore numerous ligaments and dislocated his kneecap on a touchdown grab in Houston’s Week 16 loss to Kansas City and then needed a second surgery in March to fix a torn ACL.
He has been one of Stroud’s most dependable targets when healthy, catching 98 passes for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first two seasons.
