Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new five-year contract at Anfield, Yankee Scores reports.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £60m in 2023 and was the standout performer for the Reds last season, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists.

“There’s always more to come. I’m never happy,” said Szoboszlai. “I want to set the example. I want to be an example also for everyone, as much as I can.
“When I signed, I said I want to win everything. That didn’t change for a little moment either. It stayed the same.
“I want to win everything that is possible in this country, also let’s say the Champions League. I’m ready to go for it.”
The Hungary international, whose previous contract had two years remaining, has ended months of speculation about his future after talks between his representatives and Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes, per BBC Sport.
Talks have been ramped up in recent weeks and an agreement was reached and signed this week. The new deal will see him commit his future to Liverpool until 2031 with both club and player believing Szoboszlai’s best years are yet to come.
Mohamed Salah, who left Liverpool at the end of the season, described Szoboszlai as “one of the best players in the world” in February.
Liverpool need a new vice-captain after Andy Robertson’s departure from Anfield this summer and Szoboszlai will be among the leading contenders for the role now his future is settled. He is captain of his national side.
Szoboszlai was back on Merseyside on Tuesday for pre-season training and he will be included in the Liverpool touring party when they fly out to USA for their pre-season tour next week.
