Declan Rice and Noni Madueke have fired back at those who criticized Arsenal following their Champions League final exit, Yankee Scores reports…
Victory Parade
After a 1-1 draw followed by a penalty shoot-out loss against PSG, Arsenal marked their success in winning the Premier League title by organizing a victory tour with an open-top bus ride around north London.
As Arsenal lifted their trophy, Rice and Madueke fired back at the taunts they endured following their loss against PSG.
Rice and Madueke hit back
“Champions! Whilst others are tweeting and posting,” Madueke wrote on social media.
Rice’s comment included four smiling emojis and read “Jealousy everywhere.”
One of those who got a chance to have a dig at Arsenal after their defeat to PSG was Tottenham defender Djed Spence, England World Cup teammate with Rice and Madueke.
Spence Taunts Arsenal
Spence took an opportunity to reply to an Arsenal’s post on social media, which was originally published back in February and included the text “locked up” followed by a video of the Tottenham defender.
In response, Spence used some emojis, featuring open eyes and an unlocked door, right after Arsenal’s chances to lift the trophy were eliminated.
Moreover, Chelsea made fun of Arsenal at the time when their chances of lifting the trophy vanished. The Blues are the London’s only Champions League winners.
“London’s Home of Trophies”
“Come and visit London’s Home of Trophies. Book your Stadium Tour at Stamford Bridge now,” Chelsea posted immediately Arsenal lost to PSG.
Rice was defiant on Sunday’s bus parade to celebrate their first Premier League in 22 years.
“I love this team, I love the manager. To see the joy we can give people, it’s crazy,” Rice said. “But, next year we’re coming back for more. You heard it here first now. Lock in or get locked out.”
Rice, Madueke and Spence will soon link up with England for pre-World Cup friendlies.
