Barcelona have had a new £55m offer for Rodri rejected by Manchester City.
Barcelona had a first offer of around £40m rejected last week. Barca were due to up their offer on Wednesday to between £50m and £60m, but their new offer is still not enough for City, Sky Sports reported.
Barcelona are still keen on Rodri and are considering their next move.
City want more than £60million for the 30-year-old midfielder, who has a year remaining on his contract. Negotiations are ongoing.
City do not want to sell the Spain World Cup-winning captain and are looking to agree a new contract with him. But if Rodri wanted to go then they wouldn’t stand in his way.
Yankee Scores had reported that Manchester City have turned down an initial bid of £38.5m from Barcelona for their midfielder Rodri.
Rodri will turn 30 this year and his contract expires after next season with not much progress on a new deal being finalized amid reports he might leave.
Real Madrid Exit & Personal Terms
In the meantime, sources claim the discussions with Real have been terminated.
Rodri has been unavailable for most of last season because of the injury to his knee.
With the second week of August coming, the English side hopes to sort Rodri’s future soon to be able to get a replacement.
