Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million contract extension.
According to ESPN, the extension reportedly doesn’t contain any options for either side. Terms of the deal have been worked out after months of talks between George’s representative Jason Ranne of The Team agency and Jazz president of basketball operations Austin Ainge.

George’s new contract is going to constitute 16% of the Utah payroll under salary cap rules.
George, who turned 22 and was the 16th pick in the 2023 draft, became an integral part of the franchise’s future by putting up an outstanding performance in the previous season. He put up 23.6 points and 6.1 assists per game on 45.6% field-goal percentage and 37.1% from beyond the arc – career highs for him.
The Jazz are looking at George and Darryn Peterson, second overall pick in this year’s draft, as one of the most exciting backcourts in the league.
