It will be the fourth consecutive game that Durant will miss because of a bone bruise in his left ankle. Kevin Durant got the injury towards the end of Houston Rockets’ Game 2 defeat.
He didn’t participate in the series opening game because of a bruised tendon in his right knee. However, he participated in Game 2, where he scored 23 points in 41 minutes. Kevin Durant got an injury to his left ankle towards the end of Game 2.
A Frustrating Postseason Run
The Rockets have managed to win two consecutive games in the series against the Lakers following their 3-0 lead. Game 6 in the series will take place in Houston on Friday. In case of a necessary Game 7, it will be held in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Sources told ESPN that Durant’s injury generally carries a minimum two-week timetable for returning to play. Durant suffered the injury on April 21, which was 12 days before a potential Game 7 in this series.
Durant, 37, played 2,840 minutes during the regular-season — the second-most in the league. The 16-time All-Star averaged 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 78 games this season, his first with the Rockets.
