The Memphis Grizzlies finally found relief on Wednesday night, but their victory over Denver was about more than just snapping a skid, Yankee Scores reports.
Ty Jerome was the star of the show, scoring 21 points while adding nine rebounds and nine assists. He came agonizingly close to his first career triple-double, but his leadership helped Memphis secure a 125-118 win and end their eight-game slide.
Olivier-Maxence Prosper contributed 19 points, while GG Jackson added 16. Cedric Coward chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds, and Taylor Hendricks came off the bench to score 13 and make six of the team’s 12 steals.
Nuggets Falter Under Pressure
Nikola Jokic posted 29 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists, but his 10 turnovers proved costly. Christian Braun scored 26, Cameron Johnson had 20, and Jamal Murray added 19 points with 12 assists. Still, Denver’s 19 turnovers undermined their effort.
The Nuggets, who had beaten Philadelphia the night before, were without Aaron Gordon due to a hamstring issue. The defeat leaves them behind Houston in the race for fifth place in the Western Conference and a game adrift of Minnesota.
Grizzlies Find Their Spark
Memphis had not won since March 1, but this performance showed resilience. Jerome, who missed Monday’s loss in Chicago through injury, said afterwards: “We needed this. It’s about fighting every night, no matter the circumstances.”

What’s Next?
The Grizzlies, now 24-44, host the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Denver will look to bounce back when they welcome the Toronto Raptors.
For Memphis, this was more than just a win—it was a statement that even in a tough season, belief and fight remain intact.
