Mitchell Sets the Tone

Donovan Mitchell once again proved why he thrives under the spotlight. Scoring 32 points, he extended his NBA record streak of nine straight series openers with at least 30 points. His energy set the pace for Cleveland’s offense, which never looked back after a decisive second‑quarter run.

Strus Sparks the Bench

Max Strus delivered a huge boost off the bench, pouring in 24 points. His three triples during a 27‑9 surge helped the Cavaliers break the game wide open. Cleveland shot 10 of 16 during that stretch, including 5 of 8 from deep, leaving Toronto scrambling to keep up.

Harden and Mobley Add Balance

James Harden contributed 22 points and 10 assists, orchestrating the offense with precision. Evan Mobley added 17 points and seven rebounds, giving Cleveland a strong inside presence. Together, they ensured the Cavaliers maintained control throughout the night.

Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs matchup between the Cavaliers and the Raptors ended 126-113 in favor of the homers.

Raptors Fight but Fall Short

RJ Barrett led Toronto with 24 points, while Scottie Barnes chipped in 21. Jamal Shead, starting in place of injured guard Immanuel Quickley, impressed with 17 points and five three‑pointers. Despite their efforts, the Raptors couldn’t overcome Cleveland’s explosive run and trailed by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter.

Looking Ahead

Game 2 is set for Monday night in Cleveland, where the Cavaliers will aim to build on their momentum. For Toronto, adjustments are critical if they hope to even the series and keep their playoff return alive.
