Christian Pulisic ended his goal drought for country and club as the United States edged past Senegal 3-2 in a penultimate friendly ahead of the World Cup, Yankee Scores reports…
Captain America Snaps the Slump
Pulisic recorded his first international goal since November 2024.
Pulisic assisted Sergiño Dest with the first goal, scoring the second goal himself in the 20th minute via an assist from Ricardo Pepi. From a tricky angle, Pulisic dribbled away from the goalkeeper, Mory Diaw, and finished into an open net for the second time in his career with his 33rd goal in 85 appearances for the USA.

Pulisic ran to a corner flag, fell down, and repeatedly hit his fists into the air.
Mané Shows Class
Senegal’s Sadio Mané recorded two goals and raised his international tally to 54, which makes him the all-time leading scorer for the West African nation.
In the 44th minute, Mané outmuscled USA goalkeeper Matt Turner and scored at the far post after a pass from Habib Diarra. In the 52nd minute, Mané scored again from a pass lifted over a charging Chris Brady by Nicolas Jackson.
Balogun Finishes the Job
After being ruled offside in the 49th minute, Balogun scored in the 63rd minute, finishing off a cross from Tim Weah that deflected off the head of Moustapha Mbow and into the net, recording his ninth international goal.

Matt Turner started for the second time since losing to Switzerland 4-0 last June.
