The Philadelphia 76ers made it clear that LeBron James is indeed an official member of the team — and, in fact, perhaps surprisingly — with one simple picture.

The deal between the 76ers and James was finalized on Monday when both parties confirmed a two-year deal worth $8 million on the veteran minimum salary was signed by the four-time NBA MVP, per ESPN.
“There is no doubt LeBron is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball and there are no words to measure the impact he’ll have on this organization,” team president Mike Gansey said.
NBA career scoring leader James revealed his pick through his social media on Friday. It is his “final choice,” which he made after giving his retirement consideration.
“I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time,” James said.
James posted videos on his Instagram story at 4:12 AM on Monday, captioning: “It’s that time again. 4:12 AM. Let’s get it.” James also posted videos of his workouts from the gym during the weekend.
A four-time NBA champion, James said he was “done” at the end of his 23rd NBA season, which was also his final one with the Lakers.
Chasing History
On the other hand, James went against the trend and decided to sign with a Sixers franchise that boasts of having three All-Stars (Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Jaylen Brown) but has been unable to secure a single NBA Championship since 1983 and make any progress in the Eastern Conference playoff beyond the second round since 2001.
At 41 years old this December, James seems ready to take up the task of bringing championship glory back to the Sixers as he did when he won a title for Cleveland and ended its 56-year championship drought.
