A signature Nike sneaker from Victor Wembanyama is reportedly coming soon following the Frenchman’s new contract extension with Nike, Yankee Scores reports.
Terms of the deal have yet to be revealed but sources have referred to it as a “long-term” deal.
According to ESPN sources, Wembanyama’s current Nike contract was set to expire next month and the new deal was inked soon after the big man signed his five-year, $252 million maximum rookie-scale contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs.
On Thursday, the 22-year-old Wembanyama signed his new deal with the Spurs following his eligibility to extend his contract with the club a day after the Spurs were eliminated in five games in the NBA Finals by the New York Knicks.
Besides being a Nike endorser, Wembanyama also is an ambassador of French luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton since 2024.
The youngest NBA Defensive Player of the Year and the only one who won the honor unanimously, blocked the most shots last season and made the All-NBA first team and his second All-Star appearance and first as an All-Star starter in the same year.
Wembanyama became only the sixth player in franchise history to be named an All-Star starter for the San Antonio Spurs along with George Gervin, Alvin Robertson, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Kawhi Leonard.
In his third NBA season, Wembanyama appeared in 64 games and scored a career-high 25.0 points along with a career-high 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
Wembanyama’s league-leading 3.08 blocks and 1.03 steals per game helped him complete a stellar 2025-26 season and join only six other players in league history to record at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks in a season.
Wembanyama tallied 42 double-digit rebound games, 42 double-doubles, and a triple-double last season.
