WBC Welterweight Title: Ryan Garcia Questions Conor Benn’s Path To Title Shot

WBC welterweight champion, Ryan Garcia has queried the rise of Conor Benn to a title fight who hardly face top opponents.
The duo are set to compete for the WBC Welterweight title with a scheduled fight at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, September 12 in Las Vegas.
Garcia interrogated Benn rise while attributing it to the influence of his father which has been the foundation of his career.
The pugilist belittled his opponent prowess for fighting older, poor boxers in his career and amateur fighters in Australia to build his profession.
“It’s no secret that his dad’s name has given him a lot of privileges,” Garcia told the media.
“I’m not going to put a man down for his dad putting in that hard work for him. But he has not had it hard at all. I think he fought in the amateurs in Australia. Who the f— is fighting there?”
The 28 year old boxer questioned Benn strength as he believes he has never fought younger fighters but settles for older easy to defeat boxers.
“He’s never fought a young fighter, all of them have been older. Chris van Heerden, Chris Algieri, Chris Eubank Jr.”
Garcia has 25 wins, 20 knockouts and two losses in 27 fights as he defends the title he won in February against the British, Benn.
