Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix told reporters he has no plans to adjust his playing style because of his surgically repaired ankle as he enters the 2026 NFL season.
Nix injured his right ankle in the Denver Broncos’ AFC Divisional Round loss to the Buffalo Bills last season, an injury that kept him out of the AFC Championship Game.

He later had a pair of surgeries but has already returned to training camp and looks totally recovered.
“I don’t think I have to be scared to run,” Nix said, according to ESPN. “I think that’s part of my game”
Nix said he’s comfortable with his ankle and doesn’t think he needs to play it safe because of his past injuries.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton has also spoken about Nix’s ability to make plays with his legs, saying extending plays and avoiding sacks is one of his “superpowers.”
Nix ran for 786 yards and nine touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons, and threw for 7,706 yards and 54 touchdowns.
He helped create the foundation for the organization as a rising contender and guided Denver to back-to-back playoff appearances.
