Rashee Rice can breathe a sigh of relief with the outcome of the NFL’s investigation into his case. Yankee Scores reports.

After Rice’s ex-girlfriend sued him in February, saying he had abused her for more than a year, the league began an investigation. On Friday, the NFL said that the Kansas City Chiefs receiver had not broken the league’s personal conduct policy. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told Schefter that there was “insufficient evidence.”

Because of the conclusion, Rice will not be punished by the league.
“Mr. Rice wants to thank the NFL for their thorough investigation and can’t wait for the start of the 2026–27 NFL season,” Rice’s lawyer, Sean Lindsey, said in a statement to Schefter.

NFL concluded today that Chiefs WR Rashee Rice “has not engaged in conduct that violates the personal conduct policy” and the investigation into accusations from his former girlfriend is now closed; there will be no discipline at this time.

Dacoda Jones, Rice’s ex, is suing for $1 million in damages. She says that the receiver abused her physically from December 2023 to July 2025, even when she was pregnant. Jones and Rice have two kids together.

The league suspended Rice for six games in 2025 after he admitted to causing a crash with several cars in Dallas in 2024. Last summer, he was given five years of probation and 30 days in jail. If he follows the rules of his probation, the charges will be dropped.

Two people who were hurt in the crash sued Rice for $1 million, and he later settled. But in July, a lawyer for one of the plaintiffs said that his client had not yet been paid.

Rice’s 2025 season ended early when he was put on IR in December because he had a concussion.
