The Green Bay Packers have struck a deal with defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt to extend his contract three years for $57 million. The deal reportedly includes a $20 million signing bonus.

The move answers the question of what Wyatt’s future holds in Green Bay. He was about to enter his final year of his rookie deal, which the Packers picked up a fifth-year option for, and that meant he was guaranteed just under $13 million in 2026. Before things got to free agency, the two sides agreed to a long-term deal.
Per ESPN, Wyatt was the 28th overall pick out of Georgia in the 2022 draft and has played in 57 regular season games for Green Bay. He had a mixed bag last year.
He was productive when healthy, recording 27 tackles and four sacks while starting all 10 games he played. But a broken fibula ended his season, and put some durability concerns on the table as contract talks opened.
Clearly, the Packers were not deterred by those concerns.
Also, the move comes as part of a larger shakeup of Green Bay’s offensive line. The team also traded longtime defensive tackle Kenny Clark to Dallas earlier this year, as part of the Micah Parsons deal leaving an even bigger hole at that position.
Wyatt has stepped into a bigger role going forward, both as a player on the field and as one of the anchors of the unit.
Wyatt enters the season with his contract situation behind him and a clear path to becoming a key piece of Green Bay’s defensive front. Training camp opens July 29.
