Cincinnati Bengals’ Shemar Stewart, the first round draft pick from 2025, was carted off the field after sustaining an injury to his left leg on Wednesday during the first day of their training camp.
At the time of reporting, the extent of his injury had not been known yet after undergoing imaging tests at Paycor Stadium. Stewart was seen wearing a protective brace on his left leg.

Last season, Stewart, despite suffering from injuries, managed to make a total of one sack in eight games, per ESPN.
“He gives us great versatility,” Golden said. “We should see a huge jump with him, to be honest with you.”
Day one at Bengals’ camp saw another small fight and even had a flying helmet.
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase of the Bengals, not unfamiliar with altercations, found himself engaged in a fight with cornerbacks DJ Turner II and Jalen Davis while going through team practice. He ended up with the helmet belonging to Turner, who then threw the helmet high into the air and then went on arguing with Davis.
“We just want to come out and have a different mentality,” Davis said after practice. “And that’s what came out.”
After last year’s six-game record and their third consecutive season of failing to qualify for the playoffs, Cincinnati made improvements to their defense that had become increasingly scrutinized in the two previous seasons, adding among others, defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II.
This is Turner’s career season so far. He finished the season by being responsible for shadowing the top wide receiver of the other side. That guy is Chase for Cincinnati, who was selected as All-Pro selection for the second straight season.
