The Baltimore Ravens have found their center after trading with the Philadelphia Eagles for two-time Pro Bowler Cam Jurgens, plugging a hole that had become a real problem.
The price was a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round selection. In return, Baltimore gets Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-rounder, per ESPN.

The Ravens have been scrambling at center all season, ever since Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in March. Things got worse when their top three centers all landed on injured reserve. That left Baltimore on its fourth center of the season, rookie first-round pick Olaivavega Ioane, who had been starting at right guard before he was moved.
“Cam is a player we have long admired going all the way back to the draft process,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “He’s a young foundational piece along our offensive line — a great scheme and cultural fit who will contribute quickly in Baltimore.”
It’s been a wild couple of days for the Eagles’ offensive line. The Jurgens trade is the second major change in as many days, coming right after All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson retired from the NFL on Tuesday.
Jurgens had been playing out of position. In Week 2, Philadelphia moved him from center to left guard after Landon Dickerson went on injured reserve with a knee injury. Jurgens had never played left guard as a pro, and he struggled there. He’s now in concussion protocol after self-reporting symptoms following Sunday’s game against the Rams.
According to general manager Howie Roseman, the Eagles weren’t looking to move him. But talks with the Ravens picked up over the past 24 hours, and the terms reached a point where Roseman thought it would be a “win-win.”
