The New York Giants have re-signed their wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, Yankee Scores reports.
The Homecoming is Official
The Giants were cautious in the discussions to secure the veteran free agent. Coach John Harbaugh knows the wide receiver because he had played for the Ravens in the 2023 season, and he believes there is still chemistry between him and the Giants. In the season, Beckham made 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

It can be said Beckham’s signing represents a homecoming for him because he was the Giants’ first-round draft choice in the 2014 NFL draft. Beckham was very successful in the initial years with the team, posting three consecutive 1,300+ reception yards seasons. Then came injury and distraction for him, which limited his performance with the team.

During Beckham’s tenure with the Giants, the wide receiver managed to have 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns.
New Role
This time, however, Beckham’s role with the Giants is going to be different, as compared to the early years when he was the leading receiver for the team.
In the last two years, Beckham has participated in nine games. Six of those were games that he was suspended for breaching the league policy regarding performance-enhancing drugs. In 2024, Beckham participated in nine games for the Miami Dolphins and made nine receptions for 55 yards.
Triple-Threat
Alongside Beckham, the Giants also signed another wide receiver Braxton Berrios on a one-year deal. This news was shared by Rosenhaus & Co., which represents Berrios.
The Giants will also add JuJu Smith-Schuster for a year, as confirmed by Rosenhaus.
Smith-Schuster has spent the last two seasons with the Chiefs. He has been playing under new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. Last year, Smith-Schuster recorded 33 receptions for 345 yards and one touchdown. Berrios only got four chances last season for the Texans due to his injuries.
Injury List
The signings follow reports of gunner and wide receiver Gunner Olszewski tearing his Achilles during the OTA practice. Malik Nabers (knee) and Darius Slayton (core muscle) will also not participate in the beginning of the season after sustaining injuries.
It is unknown how much of a threat Nabers is to starting in the beginning of the season because of his ACL tear last September.
These are some additions to the Giants since the start of the free agency in May. During this period, the team has added Calvin Austin, Darnell Mooney and Ryan Miller and re-signed Isaiah Hodgins. Slot receiver Wan’Dale Robinson left for Tennessee following his 1,000-yard season.
