Veteran offensive lineman Andrus Peat has announced his retirement from the NFL, bringing an end to an 11-year career
His featured three consecutive Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl trip with the New Orleans Saints.

The 32-year-old announced the news in an emotional Instagram message on Friday, thanking his supporters for standing by him throughout his journey.
Per ESPN, The Saints picked Peat in the first round (No. 13 overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Stanford, where he was one of college football’s top offensive linemen. He played his first nine NFL seasons with New Orleans where he became a reliable starter and was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Peat was instrumental in the Saints’ run to four consecutive NFC South wins from 2017-20 and was a member of the Super Bowl LIII club. Injuries sometimes disrupted his career, but he was a respected figure on the offensive line.
Peat left New Orleans after the 2023 season and spent one season with the Las Vegas Raiders before signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025.
Peat played 11 seasons, appearing in 132 regular-season games and starting 106 of them, leaving a legacy of durability, versatility and steady play in the trenches.
