Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has sealed a £60m move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.
This move, which entails a fixed fee of £60m and sell-on fee, will bring to an end the player’s stay in North London after seven years.
Gabriel Martinelli, aged 25, has signed a long-term deal with Al-Hilal, who sit at the top of the table alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s team Al-Nassr.

Martinelli moved to the Gunners in 2019 from Brazilian club Ituano and had one year left on his contract at the Emirates, but manager Mikel Arteta informed him that he was not part of his squad for the coming season.
Arsenal Hails Gabi
The Gunners in a social media post appreciated the Brazilian for his efforts and achievements at the club.
”Forever a Gunner ❤️ The club can confirm that Gabriel Martinelli has joined Al-Hilal on a permanent deal. Thank you for everything and best of luck, Gabi 🤝”, Arsenal wrote.
Last season, he played in 53 matches across all competitions for the Gunners, managing to net 11 goals, as his team managed to clinch the Premier League crown.
Martinelli’s Last Days at Arsenal
The Brazilian was not included in the team’s lineup against Coventry and Aston Villa in matchday 1 and 2 respectively.
This drew the criticism of former Arsenal striker Ian Wright: “The way Martinelli is being treated at the moment, it really makes me feel uncomfortable,” Wright told Sky Sports.
“I know they might want him out, and a lot of people might say, ‘yeah, it’s time for him to move him on’. But there’s ways of doing that and it should suit him as well, how he wants to leave.”
