Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku has secured a move to Turkish club Fenerbahçe after leaving Italian side Napoli.
BBC Sport reported that Last season, the 33-year-old had issues with injuries and featured only in seven games for Napoli in all competitions.
Belgium’s highest goal scorer will return to Turkey where he resided back in 1996-1997 as his father Roger played professionally for Genclerbirligi of the Super Lig.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to be joining your club ,” said Lukaku in a video on social media addressed to Fenerbahce’s fans.
“I am fit, 100%, ready to go. It is an emotional moment after many years to be going back to Turkey where I lived as a young kid, where I discovered the professional world as a toddler with my dad.”The transfer fee and duration of the contract of Lukaku have not been revealed yet.

Even though the previous season was a tough one for him due to injuries, Lukaku netted three goals in the World Cup this summer.
The striker has won the Belgian league with Anderlecht, Fifa Club World Cup with Chelsea, and Scudetto with Inter Milan as well as Napoli.
Lukaku becomes the second United player this summer to join the club after Mason Greenwood who has moved there from Marseille.
Fenerbahçe, who finished as the runner-up to Galatasaray for the last four seasons, do not have a Turkish league trophy since 2014.
