The supporters of Liverpool bid their goodbyes to the defender after his team drew 1-1 with Brentford in the concluding fixture of the Premier League season.
Spurs managed to escape relegation to the Championship, finishing two points above the drop zone with Roberto De Zerbi having just started to assemble the pieces for his team as he wants to make sure that Tottenham does not find themselves in such a difficult position next time around.
Roberto De Zerbi expressed his admiration for Robertson with the belief that his experience and winning mentality will be beneficial for Spurs
“I am excited becuase he is a Scottish player first of all, and I love Scottish player. And then he brings experience, mentality and qualities. And he’s a big player for us”
“I work with Billy Gilmour at Brighton. I love their mentality and passion for football”.
“He brings experience, mentality and quality.”

Another player who is almost certain to join Spurs is Marcos Senesi whose contract with Bournemouth is about to expire soon. Van Hecke of Brighton, another free agent, could soon put pen to paper for Spurs.
They still maintain interest in Manchester City star Savinho who they failed to sign last year since Pep Guardiola decided to hold onto the Brazilian.
Robertson was signed by Liverpool from Hull in 2017 and became an integral part of the teams that won the Premier League titles in 2019/20 and 2024/25 and the Champions League in 2018/19 and 2021/22.
The Scotland captain was wanted by Atletico Madrid last summer, but no move materialised.
