England forward Anthony Gordon believes that “his abilities and intelligence as a footballer have never really been respected” until he made his transfer from Newcastle United to Barcelona in the last transfer window.
The 25-year-old signed for the Spanish side in a deal believed to be worth about £69 million.
Gordon is off to a good start in his new league with Barcelona, netting five assists in just seven games. He further displayed his talents by scoring an equalizer during the 3-2 defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
