Everton are close to signing Monaco forward Folarin Balogun for a fee of £40m.
Everton are looking to beef up their attack before the transfer deadline which falls on Tuesday. The Everton targets include Folarin Balogun, and Richarlison from Tottenham.

Brazilian forward Richarlison, who is 29 years old, reportedly has some doubts about joining Everton, his former club which he left for Spurs in 2022, per BBC Sport.
However, Everton have continued with their pursuit of US striker Folarin Balogun who joined Monaco from his youth team, Arsenal, in 2023.
Folarin Balogun has netted 31 goals in 91 appearances for Monaco in all competitions. In international football, Balogun boasts a tally of 12 goals in 31 caps for the US.
Balogun was at the center of a red card controversy that sparked divergent views during the world cup.
The 25-year-old was sent off for serious foul play on Bosnia-Herzegovina in the last 32 and should have been given an automatic ban.
Fifa’s disciplinary committee, however, suspended the ban for a year in a move that drew widespread condemnation, especially when it emerged that US President Donald Trump and White House officials had lobbied football’s world governing body about the American’s sanction.
Balogun scored three goals at the World Cup and was named in the starting line-up for the last-16 defeat by Belgium, a decision European football’s governing body Uefa branded “unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable”.
