Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik fought off two match points en route to winning the US Open mixed doubles tournament and $1 million in prize money.
Mensik delivered a 131 mph ace on the third championship point to clinch a 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 win against Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli in the final.
This follows their previous fight off of match points in the semi-final where they beat Andrey Rublev and Mirra Andreeva.
BBC Sport reported that this marks the first Grand Slam title for both players coming just over six weeks after Muchova lost to countrywoman Linda Noskova in the Wimbledon final.

Muchova, who is 30 years old, has not played since she underwent “a small surgery”.
Meanwhile, Mensik, a semi-finalist in the French Open earlier this year, had never played mixed doubles prior to this event but his serve made up for his inexperience.
They were set to wear matching maroon colors in their matches but only after Muchova educated her 20-year-old team-mate what the color was.
“It’s not probably the main fact that we won the title, but that we had really great matches to play,” Menik said.
“It’s good we tried a lot of things on the court. It gives you a little bit of boost of confidence.”
Both semi-finals were won by a 10-point tie-break. Bencic and Cobolli defeated Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils 10-5, stopping them from being the first couple winning a mixed doubles Grand Slam trophy as husband and wife since 1939.
There is no second chance for Monfils as he has announced his retirement from professional tennis by the end of the year.
In the second semi-final, Muchova and Mensik beat the French Open winners Andreeva and Rublev with a scoreline of 5-4 (8-6) 3-5 11-9.
All eight semi-finalists will participate in the US Open singles main draw that will start from Sunday.
