Tua Tagovailoa would like to forget his first game in a Falcons uniform as Atlanta lost 27-7 to the Denver Broncos in Friday night’s preseason opener
The new quarterback didn’t hold back about how he felt. “Frustrated and disappointed the way things happened tonight as we went out there,” Tagovailoa said after the game. “Definitely not up to standard, not even close to up to standard”

Tagovailoa played only two series, completing 3 of 5 passes for 22 yards. All four of his passing attempts were to tight end Kyle Pitts Sr.
Tagovailoa lost the handle on the ball on his second snap of the game and had to fall on his own fumble. He said the mistake set a slow tone for the rest of his day in the field.
Denver then scored 24 unanswered points before Atlanta finally got on the board.
“We didn’t do justice to the hard work that we’ve put in the first two weeks of training camp,” Tagovailoa added, per ESPN
Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski was a little more measured, saying it’s tough to grade Tagovailoa on such a small sample size.
