Tennessee Titans star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons was removed from Tuesday’s practice after throwing a punch, Yankee Scores reports
The All-Pro spent the rest of the session away from his teammates, a clear sign that the new coaching staff isn’t putting up with anything getting out of hand at training camp.

It hasn’t been fully explained what exactly led to the flare-up, but scuffles have become something of a trend for Simmons and the Titans this camp.
He was in a physical tussle with right tackle JC Latham during the team’s first padded practice just days ago, one of several skirmishes that prompted head coach Robert Saleh to talk to the media about keeping things in check.
“Our policy is if you throw a punch you’re ejected in the game, same thing with practice,” Saleh said, per ESPN
This time Saleh did not shrug it off. Unlike previous situations where players were only withdrawn from the rest of practice and sent back into drills, Simmons was removed from the rest of practice altogether
Simmons opens the season as the center of Tennessee’s defensive front, coming off a breakout year that included 11 sacks and his first All-Pro selection.
He also signed a three-year, $105.8 million extension that made him the highest-paid interior defensive lineman in NFL history.
