Tottenham have struck a deal worth £75m with Manchester City to bring Savinho to the club, which has further £10m in potential add-ons.
Savinho, 22, will undergo medical tests after which he will sign a long-term contract with Tottenham.
This transfer deal has taken more than 12 months to materialize since Tottenham had failed to bring Savinho to the club last summer.
However, the player decided to stay put and play at Etihad Stadium. Last season, under Pep Guardiola, Savinho was not a regular starter with just seven appearances in the Premier League.
Rebuilding the Spurs Attack
With Tottenham spending £185m on signing midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, the Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi was keen to strengthen the club’s attacking ranks.
However, Tottenham are far from finished with their business since BBC Sport reports that Tottenham’s talks for bringing Savinho’s City teammate Omar Marmoush are going well.
Egyptian international Marmoush joined the Citizens in 2025 with a fee of £59m but he lost his spot in the starting XI last season.
What Next?
While Tottenham are keen on Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, it remains to be seen if Spurs will be able to afford him along with Marmoush and Savinho.
Signing Savinho will take Tottenham’s spend this summer beyond £300m since Tottenham have already earned about £140m through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.
Tottenham begin their new Premier League season against Brentford on Saturday (17:30 BST) while City face Bournemouth on Sunday (14:00 BST).
