Tyler Herro put on a shooting clinic Friday night, scoring 33 points with nine rebounds and nine assists as the Miami Heat snapped the Charlotte Hornets’ six-game winning streak in a 128-120 victory.

Herro connected on 8 of 10 from deep, including a pivotal three-pointer that broke a 108-all tie with just over seven minutes left. That shot sparked a decisive 9-0 run and shifted momentum firmly in Miami’s favor, per Yahoo.

Bam Adebayo added 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. provided a spark off the bench with 21 points. The Heat’s perimeter shooting was lethal, finishing 18 of 38 from beyond the arc at a 47% clip. The win marked Miami’s fourth straight, keeping them firmly in the playoff chase.

Hornets’ Effort Falls Short

Kon Knueppel led Charlotte with 27 points, hitting six threes to keep the Hornets within striking distance. Brandon Miller contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds, while LaMelo Ball scored 21 but struggled from the field at 7-for-22.

Despite their push, Charlotte fell back to .500 at 32-32 after riding a streak of dominant wins, each by 15 or more points.

Key Fourth-Quarter Moments

Knueppel drilled back-to-back threes to cut the deficit to 120-117 late, but Herro answered with a jumper before Dru Smith’s follow shot extended the lead again. Miami’s composure in crunch time proved the difference, halting Charlotte’s surge and silencing the home crowd.

What’s Next

The Hornets will look to extend their franchise-record 10-game road winning streak when they begin a four-game trip in Phoenix on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Heat return home to host the Detroit Pistons, aiming to keep their momentum rolling.

Herro’s performance wasn’t just about numbers—it was about timing. His clutch shooting and leadership in the fourth quarter underscored why Miami continues to thrive in high-pressure moments.

Meanwhile, Yankee Scores earlier reported that the Los Angeles Rams have reached an agreement with safety Kam Curl on a three-year, $36 million contract, per NFL Network and confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This marks the second major move for the Rams’ secondary this week, following their trade for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie.
