The Atlanta Hawks are doubling down on organizational stability following the multiyear extension deal of head coach Quin Snyder, Yankee Scores reports.

It continues to be another consecutive extension by the Hawks’ organization to Snyder and Onsi Saleh in order to ensure stability within the organization.

Saleh was named as president of basketball operations from his previous position as general manager on May 27 and was extended to a long-term deal.

Snyder joined the Atlanta Hawks during the 2022-23 NBA season where he led the Hawks to a 46-36 finish before falling to the New York Knicks in Round One of the playoffs.

Notwithstanding the trade of star player Trae Young to Washington in exchange for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in early January, Snyder was able to lead the Hawks to end strongly with an impressive 19 wins out of 24 games played at the tail end of the regular season. The Hawks have thus far become the only team to defeat the Knicks in the current NBA Finals entering into Game 3.

According to NBA, Snyder is also the first-ever head coach of players who have won two consecutive Most Improved Players of the Year in Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Dyson Daniels.

“Quin has been a phenomenal leader for our team, and extending his contract reflects our commitment to stability and sustained growth as we build toward high-level success,” said Hawks President of Basketball Operations Onsi Saleh.

“Over the past three seasons and amid an evolving roster, we’ve seen clear, measurable progress, which is a testament to the culture he’s established and the leadership he brings every day. He has created an environment where our players are challenged, supported, and empowered to grow, and that focus on player development has elevated our entire program.”
