The NBA International Spotlight is shining brighter than ever. Denver and Indiana are stepping into the spotlight as the league takes its game south, Yankee Scores reports.
Nuggets and Pacers Headline Mexico City Game
On November 7, the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers will face off in Mexico City for a regular-season clash, the league announced Thursday. This marks the 35th NBA game in Mexico since 1992, and the 16th regular-season contest played there.
“Hosting the 35th game in the country reflects the depth of the NBA’s relationship with Mexico,” said Raul Zarraga, senior vice president of NBA Latin America, emphasizing how the event connects fans across Latin America and beyond.

Nuggets Return, Pacers Debut
Denver has played in Mexico once before, a preseason matchup against Golden State in Monterrey back in 2006. For Indiana, this will be their first-ever game in Mexico, making them the 23rd franchise to compete there.
The timing is symbolic, as the game coincides with Mexico’s vibrant Day of the Dead celebrations, adding cultural significance to the event.

Expanding the Global Game
Mexico has hosted more NBA games than any other country outside the U.S. and Canada. The league continues to expand its international footprint, with additional regular-season games scheduled in Paris and Manchester, England, next season.
By sending stars like Nikola Jokic and the Pacers’ young core abroad, the NBA reinforces its mission of growing the sport globally. Fans in Mexico City will witness not just a game, but a celebration of basketball’s worldwide reach.
