Jadon Sancho will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of June five years after signing with Manchester United in a €85 million ($99.98m) transfer fee, Yankee Scores reports.
Sancho along with Raphaël Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines at Manchester United during summer 2021.
He left Borussia Dortmund, where he had excelled since the age of 17 in the Bundesliga.
However, at Old Trafford, Sancho was not able to replicate his form and the England international managed to score only 12 goals and provided six assists in 83 matches for Manchester United.
The 26-year-old winger returned to Dortmund on loan in the latter stages of the 2023-24 season, played in the Champions League final which ended in defeat against Real Madrid.
He also left Manchester United twice for a loan spell each at Chelsea and Aston Villa where he managed to win European silverware, with Conference League at the London club and Europa League last season.
Neither club were keen on keeping Sancho permanently after the penalty paid by Chelsea in relation to sources reporting to ESPN that he declined lowering his wages.
Sancho will be one of six players to leave Manchester United in summer following Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey and Malachi Sharpe.
He could even join Borussia Dortmund once again as he tries to rebuild his career with the club stating earlier that they are considering the positives of signing him.
