The historic, all-women main card features a massive pound-for-pound unification blockbuster, Yankee Scores reports.
British fighter Chantelle Cameron faces American opponent Mikaela Mayer for a light-middleweight unification battle on August 29th at Birmingham.
Cameron, aged 35, defeated Michaela Kotaskova to lift the vacant WBO belt in April and now wants to capture Mayer’s WBC and WBA titles too.
British competitor Caroline Dubois will also be featured in the all-women event organized by MVPPromotions in Birmingham, where she will fight against an American foe Amelia Moore for her WBC and WBO lightweight titles.
Northampton-based fighter Chantelle Cameron has a record of 22-1 after her 23 professional bouts and that too included beating Ireland’s former world champion Katie Taylor in 2023.
“I’ve always said I want the biggest fights in women’s boxing, and there isn’t a bigger fight right now than me against Mikaela Mayer,” Cameron said.
“We’re both top-five pound-for-pound fighters, we’re both world champions, and we’re both coming to win.”
Mayer, who is 35 years old and last stepped into the ring in October to defeat Mary Spencer, has won 22 out of his 24 fights.
Dubois, aged 25, has not lost any of his 14 matches with a 13-fight win streak and only one draw in his career.
Mayer, the Londoner, put up an impressive display to win the unified lightweight championship by defeating compatriot Terri Harper via decision in April.
“I am looking forward to representing the UK on this card and defending my unified title,” Dubois said.
“The goal is to fight for more belts at the end of the year so I need to focus and take care of business with a big win in Birmingham.”
