Historic Game 4 at the MSG; OG Anunoby’s last second tip in completes the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history as the New York Knicks takes a 3-1 lead over the San Antonio Spurs, Yankee Scores reports.
Knicks Erase 29-Point Deficit to Stun Spurs 107-106, Lead Series 3-1
Madison Square Garden had gone eerily quiet. The San Antonio Spurs were up by 29, their young stars were having fun, and the New York Knicks looked finished in their own home.
Then the fourth quarter happened.
OG Anunoby tipped in a game-winning basket with 1.2 seconds left, completing the largest comeback in NBA Finals history as the Knicks edged the Spurs 107-106. New York now leads the series 3-1, one win away from their first championship since 1973.

San Antonio shot 60% from the floor in the first half, building a 27-point lead at halftime. The Spurs’ 14 first-half three-pointers set an NBA Finals record. At one point, the deficit grew to 29—a number that, historically, no team had ever come back from in a Finals game.
But the Knicks refused to give up. Jalen Brunson scored 36 points and OG Anunoby added 33 as New York slowly fought back, chipping away in the third quarter before erupting for 32 points in the fourth
Victor Wembanyama finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds for San Antonio, while Dylan Harper contributed 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting. But it wasn’t enough. “To put in as much good work as we did in that first half, to get the lead we had and not finish the job, is disappointing to say the least,” said Spurs coach Mitch Johnson.
Game 5 is Sunday in San Antonio. The Spurs have a 57.1% win probability to stay alive, per ESPN but after Wednesday night, nobody is counting the Knicks out.
